After the clearing of the site, the old vestry had to be removed. The flat roof section of the vestry had fallen in causing the remaining roof structure to rot as well. Due to the water damage over the years this part of the building had to be completely removed. I saved the roof slates and all stone work. I also removed the wall foundations to allow for an addition. The addition being a new kitchen and 2 car garage. I chose to locate the kitchen in the addition as it is much easier to install all the under floor plumbing in new construction. I plan to use the saved stone work and roof slates for the construction of the addition. Thus the new construction will be matching the existing building.
